Brushless Servo Amplifier

Copley Control's Model 5424AC servoamplifier simplifies motion control designs, cuts cost and weight, by plugging directly into AC wall outlet. New generation design provides new system benefits-soft-start capability eliminates jerkiness while accelerating. Externally switchable transition from velocity mode to torque mode provides accurate tensioning of nuts, bottle caps, fasteners, coils, and materials testing samples. Internal F/V converter eliminates tacho. Advanced modulation method enhances linearity, reduces output ripple. Adjustable current limits protect delicate motors and sensitive loads. Copley's Model 5424AC operates from 90 V to 264 V AC at 50/60 Hz. The amplifier develops ±20 A peak, ±10 A continuous, for driving DC brushless servomotors to 2.5 HP. Unit, also provides isolated outputs of +5 V at 200 mA and ± 10 V at 5 mA for encoder or Hall sensor excitation. Model 5424AC's PWM modulation frequency is 12.5 kHz, current ripple frequency is 25 kHz, bandwidth is 3 kHz. The amplifier drives motors with 0.4 mH to 40 mH inductance. It is protected against overtemperature, overload, and short circuit. Dimensions are 7.50"by 2.72"by 7.00."Copley Control's Model 5424AC drives pick-and-place systems, robotics, fastening systems, automated assembly equipment, coil winders, and materials testing machines.
