Description of Lux Meter

Lumetron PM-3 Digital lux meter from Lumetronics is a precision photometric instrument for research, lighting and photometric laboratories for illumination measurements. The lux meter features a state-of-the-art silicon photodiode detector with extremely linear characteristics. A multi-element colour glass correction filter to match the detector response to the CIE Photopic curve has been specially developed by Lumetronics after 4 years of in-house R&D. To optimise use of the precision detector, the display unit also has high linearity of lux meter. The lux meter hand-held display unit has a 3.5 digit LCD display, powered by a 9 V battery. The lux meter haveThree ranges provide a measuring capability from 0.1 Lux to 20,000 Lux. A hold function lux meter freezes the displayed value when readings are taken in hard to reach areas. The lux meter detector is housed in a standard 23 mm diameter housing and has cosine correction. Connection to the display unit is thtnugh a precision swiss connector to ensure low noise. Other photometric equipment such as integrating spheres, gonio photometers, alignment lasers, transmittance and reflectance test sets and a complete range of other test-measuring equipmentand calibration services are available from the company.
