Rajasthan-based PEPL manufactures micro controller based alarm annunciator, model MBA-16/32, which is highly reliable and accepts potential-free optically isolated NO/NC contact (site selectable) as fault input. The display colours of windows are red/green/amber (factory assembled), with in-built "watch dog timer" circuitry. Its gives optically isolated relay output for external audible hooters and site selectable alarm sequence as per ANSI/ISA S 18.1-1979 (R 1985) standard auto reset, manual reset, first up and ring back. The window is translucent 48 mm x 48 mm size and it is expandable up to any number of windows in a single integrated unit with flasher synchronisation circuitry. The flash rate of annunciator is 55-65 flash/min in normal flashing and 25-35 flash/min in slow flashing. The legends are silk screened/engraved on mosaic tiles. It operates on 90-264 V AC (SMPS) supply and cutout size is 204 mm (W) x 228 mm (H) for 16 channel and 396 mm (W) x 228 mm (H) for 32 channel and is housed in extruded anodised aluminium, German make frame.

One of the features of the relay card is LED indication to indicate status of control output. In case of short circuit at field, ie, valves, motors, etc, there is a fuse protection in the Interface modules relay card in which fuse can be easily replaced and protects the instrument/controller. Interface modules Relay card can be used where direct interlocks are required, eg, high voltage/current outputs switching by proximity switch. To make control circuit compact relay card is very useful, which reduces larger space taken by panel mount relays, wires for connections in control panel. Using detachable connectors and insulated mounting chassis, handling of these Interface modules relay cards is very safe and easy. Mounting of these Interface modules relay cards is made very easy by using DIN rail mount chassis. Consumption of current in these Interface modules relay cards is very low which helps in using small power supplies avoiding large and bulky power supplies. To avoid screwed connections, FRC and D type connector type relay cards are also available. As per availability of voltage in control panels there is a wide range of input voltage in solid state Interface modules relay card. Even if no voltage is available in control circuit, Interface modules relay cards are available in different versions of power supplies. Power distribution Interface modules cards are also available, which can be used instead of bulky bus bars. In case of solenoids where voltage fluctuation and noise instead takes place during switching, RC snubber cards are also available

The RTM-8 is a 16-channel analogue multiplexer divided into eight 3-wire, Pt- 100 sensors and eight 4-20 MA process current inputs. It creates savings of Pt-100 transmitters, wiring cables and PLC's analogue inputs. It also enhances small PLCs limited by their analogue inputs capacity, by using a single analogue input to acquire as many analogue inputs as required. The RTM-8's output is 4-20 mA which is simply connected to a single PLC's analogue input. The input selection function is performed via four binary control lines (address) initialized by the PLC program, assuring full data synchronization between the controller and the multiplexer. The RTM-8 is provided with an Enable control line. When disabled, the unit's output is in a Hi-Z state allowing several units to be connected in a parallel to a single controller input by tying their outputs together, applying the same address lines, but providing a separate Enable control line to each multiplexer. The PLC's program must keep all but the selected multiplexer in a disabled state. The multiplexer is an all solid state unit, multiplexing the input channels with a switching time of less than 20 microseconds. Each of the Pt-100 inputs is a complete signal conditioner. They include a DIP switch array for coarse channel ranging as well as zero and span fine tuning multi-turn potentiometers on the front panel. Superb lead length compensation circuitry is provided for long distance connection of Pt-100 probes. The RTM-8 is housed in a polycarbonate enclosure which can be mounted on a 35 mm standard DIN rail.
